CVB Sales Manager Wins CalSAE ‘Member of the Year’ Award

The California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) has recognized Jim Villa, manager of convention sales for the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, with its Associate Member of the Year award, the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today.

In his role with the CVB, Villa is responsible for California association and national government markets. He has served on the board of directors of CalSAE for the past three years and is currently associate vice chair. He has also served on various councils and committees through his involvement with CalSAE over the past seven years. He is a member of Meeting Planners International Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter and the Society of Government Meeting Professionals Sacramento Chapter.

CalSAE’s Associate Member of the Year award is presented to an associate member who has taken an active role in supporting the society through committee participation, member recruitment, board service and other volunteer efforts on behalf of the Society.

Villa has worked with the CVB for more than four years. He was previously national sales manager at Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry, as well as the regional director of in-house properties for Pro Audio Video in La Verne. He lives in Ontario with his wife, Christina, and their three sons.
