Isos Technology Launches New Self-Service Website for Cleco Corporation

Isos Technology, an Atlassian Expert and leader in enterprise software development, IT recruiting and agile consulting services, announced today the successful completion and launch of http://www.cleco.com, a self-service website the company developed for Cleco Corporation, an energy services company based in Pineville, Louisiana.

The new site leveraged Liferay portal technology to provide customers with a self-service vehicle accessible from any desktop or mobile device to manage their accounts online and pay their bills via integration with existing payment technology. Cleco customers are able to report outages and get power restoration timelines through the website. The new Liferay CMS gives Cleco a way to easily update and publish web content without involving IT to enhance the communication flow with their customers.

With a large rural customer base, Cleco's goal was to provide alternative ways to communicate with its customers. To accomplish this, Isos Technology integrated with iFactor Notifi TM product to provide comprehensive preference management and proactive communications for Cleco that allowed it to push updates to customers via their smart phones and tablets. The mobile feature provides customer updates on billing information, storm-related outages and restoration times.

In order to ensure the new website would meet both Cleco and their customer’s needs, Isos Technology performed extensive usability testing on the legacy website with a diverse demographic sampling of their customers to gain a better understanding of how and why they used the site and what their individual needs were. In addition, Isos held joint application design sessions with the management and technical teams to determine key requirements.
