"Supply will always impact market activity and heading into late spring and summer, more supply means more opportunities," explained Rick Brotherton. "This is the time to enter the market and find the house that your family can turn into their home."

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2014

Southern California home buyers and sellers continue to take advantage of a market that is balancing value and price appreciation, bringing the average price of an Orange County home to $580,000, a jump of over 15% and it's highest point in seven years according to a recent headline article in the Orange County Register.

"Southern California real estate is establishing the solid balance between buyer and seller demands needed to create long term growth," said Rick Brotherton, First Team Real Estate Vice President, Marketing. "We are seeing a great market where buyers are identifying real value and sellers are seeing healthy price appreciation."

A key part of that long term growth is an ever increasing supply of homes for sale, which reached 6,115 for Orange County this month, up 29% from January.

"Supply will always impact market activity and heading into late spring and summer, more supply means more opportunities," explained Rick Brotherton. "This is the time to enter the market and find the house that your family can turn into their home."

Given the long term balance in the market, buyers are spending more energy looking at properties on an individual basis according to the Orange County Register report. In the report, First Team Real Estate agent Andrea Ballesteros explained that, "An upgraded, well maintained, priced-well home ... is moving quickly with multiple offers."

To track the ever changing Southern California real estate market, First Team Real Estate updates its groundbreaking Market Trends web service up to four times daily, providing buyers and sellers with the same data real estate professionals use to identify opportunities. Market Trends can be found on the front page of firstteam.com.

"Our job at First Team is to make sure that the buyers and sellers we work with make the most informed decision they can about real estate," said Rick Brotherton. "To do that, we give you the same market analysis tools and data that professionals use."
