NorthStar Alarm employees took part in the Tom's annual "One Day Without Shoes" event yesterday to help raise awareness for children's health and education. The company, who has supported the cause for three years now, asked employees to trace or stamp their footprint on a pledge paper to commit to spreading awareness about the important role shoes play on a child's life.
"Shoes are something we take for granted almost every day so the day meant a lot to us," said Courtney Brown, marketing and public relations manager at NorthStar. "We were constantly reminded about kids who go without, and also learned a lot about the other limitations that come without shoes."
NorthStar plans to continue the tradition of taking part in the "One Day Without Shoes" event and do its part to raise awareness.
