The battle of the most promising international tech startups will be one of the biggest elements of the five-day event, with over 100 teams showing off their innovative products, services and ideas to a group of celebrity judges and venture capitalists. The early stage companies – those that have a viable product but have raised less than $500,000 to date – will compete for $50,000 in prize money. Later stage companies will compete for a bigger prize of $100,000. To meet the criteria for that category, competitors must have solid revenue streams and secured over $500,000 in funding thus far.
