A string of zero non-conformance audits means that SelfLube is doing a pretty exceptional job in the area of product quality and customer service.
Coopersville, MI (PRWEB) April 30, 2014
SelfLube, the leading U.S. manufacturer of mold and die components, is pleased to announce that its recently completed annual ISO 9001:2008 quality audit found zero non-conformances. This adds to the Company’s already impressive quality track record, which now stands at six successive zero non-conformance audits.
As an ISO 9001:2008 registered company, SelfLube is required to have an annual audit of its quality systems. This consists of a strict review of its quality related systems and procedures and then the hard part, whether or not they are actually being adhered to – both are critical. “A string of zero non-conformance audits means that SelfLube is doing a pretty exceptional job in the area of product quality and customer service,” says Owner, Phil Allor. “This is a key reason for the Company’s success in serving the tooling industry, which tends to be very demanding when it comes to product quality and customer service.”
In addition to an annual audit SelfLube also conducts an annual quality survey of its customers. “Things may be working perfectly in shop, but if what we do isn’t actually getting through to the customer, it’s of little value,” says Marketing Specialist, Jordan Fifelski. “The customer survey gives us the feedback on that.” It focuses on four key areas:
- Quality of the product
- Understanding needs and priorities of customers
- Meeting expectations for on-time delivery
- Satisfactory response by SelfLube personnel
When the responses are collected and tabulated the company uses them to build a “to-do” list for the upcoming year of improvements suggested by customers – something that the company gives particular attention to.
