New Brunswick, NJ (PRWEB) April 30, 2014
State Theatre has just announced that it will honor The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation at the State Theatre’s 25th Anniversary Benefit Gala on Saturday, May 17, 2014 and featuring Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons in concert.
A Leadership in the Arts awards will be presented to The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation supports a variety of projects across broad issue areas. The Foundation is the single greatest contributor to the State Theatre’s Symphony Series, which has flourished because of the Foundation’s support.
“The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation is a most deserving honoree—it is with their leadership that the State Theatre has been able to keep its Classical Series at the highest standard year after year,” said Mark W. Jones, State Theatre President & CEO.
“We are proud to be honored by the State Theatre for our commitment to the arts,” said Gene Korf, Executive Director, The Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation. “It is very important to us that we are able to help classical programs thrive and reach new and younger audiences across New Jersey and that has always been an integral part of the State Theatre’s mission.”
The Gala festivities begin at 5 p.m. at The Heldrich Hotel and the performance will begin at 6 p.m. In addition to the concert, Gala guests will enjoy a reception, dinner with reserved seating, open bar, dancing, and live entertainment. The Benefit Gala, the State Theatre’s biggest annual event, underwrites the State Theatre’s artistically acclaimed programming and nationally recognized education programs. A portion of each ticket price represents a tax-deductible contribution to the State Theatre. Concert tickets range from $55-$250. For concert only tickets, call 732-246-SHOW (7469).
