Woodbury MN (PRWEB) May 01, 2014
Postal Credit Union (PCU) is excited to announce it is changing its name to Ideal Credit Union, effective June of 2014.
The change to Ideal was a thoughtful and strategic move by management and the credit union’s board of directors. Extensive research showed the credit union needed a name that would better align it with its broad and diverse community-based membership, and provide a foundation for growth in the years ahead. There is no merger, no new ownership and no new management.
“We chose a name that honors and reflects our commitment to members and our core values and mission,” said PCU President/CEO Brian Sherrick. “Ideal Credit Union was selected for its straightforward and strong connection to those values and the pride and everyday dedication we show to each and every member.”
Members will continue to receive the same excellent products, services and member care to which they have become accustomed. “Our growth and increased resources will allow us to serve our member/owners even better, as we continue to honor and live our mission of ‘Sound financial solutions. Unparalleled service’,” Sherrick added.
The name change will have no impact on member status. Current account numbers, branch locations, routing and transit numbers, phone numbers and staff remain the same. The credit union is posting regular updates about the transition on its website at http://www.postalcu.org, and offers a complete list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the process and what members can expect.
