NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 06, 2014
Masahiro Noda has rejoined the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, as a shareholder in its Intellectual Property & Technology Practice.
Noda focuses his practice on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, licensing, trade dress and false advertising issues.
In his representation of global brands in a spectrum of industries – including cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, fashion, entertainment and media – Noda strategically manages global intellectual property development, protection, licensing and enforcement efforts, and places an emphasis on counseling clients on both domestic and international aspects of trademark law. He has significant expertise in trademark infringement and trademark counterfeiting litigation, and works with clients to develop effective and efficient enforcement solutions.
Noda also regularly represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, he counsels clients in the areas of Internet matters, domain name disputes, advertising and claim substantiation issues, and in transactional matters including global licensing, acquisitions and divestitures.
As a native Japanese speaker and a true bilingual, Noda represents many Japanese companies in various intellectual property and corporate matters. Through his keen understanding of the business needs of these companies in the U.S., he provides strategic legal and business solutions.
“We welcome Masa back to Greenberg Traurig,” said Alan N. Sutin, Co-Chair of the Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. “Masa’s experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters makes him an asset to our practice and will allow him to provide the value-added services to clients for which our practice is known throughout the country. In addition, having a high quality trademark lawyer who is a native Japanese speaker will enhance our ability to serve our Japanese clients.”
Noda received his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University and B.A. from University of Michigan.
