Idyllwild Arts Academy Scholarship Available for Creative Writing Students in Fall 2014
Idyllwild, Ca (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- WHAT: The Idyllwild Arts Academy Creative Writing department is now accepting student writing entries for the Spring 2014 Poetry and Fiction writing contest. The winner of the contest will be offered a $25,000 scholarship to attend Idyllwild Arts Academy. The contest submission and scholarship application form is available online at http://www.idyllwildarts.org/fictionandpoetry and is open to middle school students entering 9th grade in the school year 2014-2015; and for high school students between grades 9-12. Students are encouraged to submit one piece of fiction or up to 3 poems. The pieces submitted should be original work by the student author. One winner will be selected to receive the scholarship, which will be applied to tuition for Idyllwild Arts Academy. The winning piece will be considered for publication in the student-edited journal, Parallax Online.
The Idyllwild Arts Academy is an internationally acclaimed boarding arts high school (September through May) which provides pre-professional training in the arts and a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum to a diverse student body of gifted young artists.
