A new study from Dataium, the largest aggregator of online in-market automotive shopping activity, shows that lead to shopper ratios increase 300% when 360°views (exterior spins and interior panoramas) of vehicles are used.
The segment defined for the 360° views used color-matched studio photography, which provide high-quality images for shoppers to interact. The use of studio images with accurate factory colors and immersive technology appear to have significant impact on lead generation.
“We found this particularly interesting because, contrary to common perceptions, color match studio photos performed better than real photos for new cars,” said Will Perry, Director of Business Intelligence, Dataium.
