Gainesville, VA (PRWEB) May 08, 2014
The Hybrid Shop (THS), a growing international network of dealers committed to providing expert care for hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs), announced today that they have been selected as a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Consumer Services category in The 2014 American Business Awards, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the program.
“We’re extremely honored by this recognition. To be selected as a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Consumer Services category in our inaugural year demonstrates how THS has solidified and dominated a market need,” Matt Curry, CEO of The Hybrid Shop stated. “Our international network of dealers has done an outstanding job! I’m so glad we’re delivering an innovative, environmentally-sound service that allows our customers to get the most out of their HEVs and truly enjoy the experience.”
Since its launch in 2013, THS has built an international dealer network to provide an environmentally friendly, cost-saving solution that virtually eliminates need for battery replacement in hybrid-electric vehicles. An underperforming hybrid battery can result in decreased fuel economy and torque, leading to significant battery replacement costs, amounting to as much as $4,000- $9,000. THS’ hybrid Battery Pack Conditioning is a green service that restores up to 95% of the battery pack’s original power and energy, while driving significant increased fuel economy over the vehicle’s lifetime. The ability to restore, as opposed to replace, the batteries is a critical element in the environmental sustainability of these services. In addition to battery conditioning, THS can diagnose, repair and maintain all the electrical systems on a hybrid, as well as, all traditional vehicle systems.
Automotive Research and Design (AR&D), THS’ R&D and Training arm, has developed a ground-breaking training center with a primary focus on hybrid-electric vehicle hands-on training. The new training center will provide training to THS' current and prospective international dealer network. AR&D is hosting a grand opening on May 15th with a 1-day training event and exclusive industry reception. Participants will “test drive” AR&D’s technology and learn more about THS' model.
