Nurses are leading the change in healthcare they want to see.
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2014
Mediaplanet Publishing, in partnership with the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and more say a heartfelt “thank you” to our nation’s nurses during National Nurses Week and beyond. Key nursing organizations, thought leaders, companies and schools are in the process of publishing their second edition of Mediaplanet’s ‘Nurse Appreciation,’ which will be available on May 30th, a campaign dedicated to educate Americans on the current status of the nurse work force, and what can be done to advance nurses’ education in this rapidly changing healthcare environment.
The print component of ‘Nurse Appreciation’ is distributed within Friday, May 30th’s edition of USA Today, in select markets throughout the country, to continue the conversation and spread awareness for National Nurses Week, which will end on May 12th. The circulation will be approximately 450,000 copies and an estimated readership of 1.4 million. Its digital counterpart will also be distributed nationally through a vast social media strategy and across a network of top news sites and partner publisher outlets reaching an additional three million potential readers. The digital site will go live on May 30th.
The publication has united the leading organizations in nursing, such as the American Nurses Assocation, The American Association of Colleges of Nursing, Cigna, Indiana Wesleyan University School of Nursing, Samuel Merritt University School of Nursing, Marquette University School of Nursing, Park University School of Nursing, UTMB Health School of Nursing, and more, advocating for our nurses’ careers, education and future.
This year’s edition of ‘Nurse Appreciation’ is one that is highly anticipated by healthcare professionals, potential nursing students and patients across the country. Extending the conversation that was started last year, nurses now need to obtain advanced degrees in order to find an edge in the work force. In addition, nurses are taking their education a step further by enrolling in leadership programs that are truly helping to solve our nation’s shortage of health care professionals. They are leading other nurses, leading teams of healthcare professionals and leading patients to optimal health. Nurses are leading the change in healthcare they want to see.
