The industry is facing some serious challenges: becoming more competitive and being able to meet the expected future growth demands all with limited resources.

SelfLube will be participating in the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) Annual Conference, held this year on May 14–16 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As the leading U.S. manufacturer of precision mold components, SelfLube will have its products on display for conference attendees. Among them will be SelfLube’s new line of steel wear strips and steel gibs.

The theme of this year’s conference is "Power Your Connections". This is something with which SelfLube is well attuned. Since it supplies precision components to hundreds of mold shops across the U.S., networking and connections is almost second nature to the Company.

“The industry is facing some serious challenges: becoming more competitive and being able to meet the expected future growth demands all with limited resources,” says SelfLube Owner Phil Allor. “Greater use of standard and semi-standard components has to be a key part of this. Shops that do this find that it is a pretty smart thing to do. They off load low value added component-making thereby freeing up resources for much higher value added work, tool building. Sales and profits go up with minimal capital investment and risk. What’s not to like?”

But, to make this work you need a rock-solid reliable supplier. And, as an ISO 9001:2008 registered company with six successive annual audits with zero non-conformances, SelfLube is well positioned to be that supplier.

SelfLube, a partner of AMBA for over 15 years, is the leading U.S. manufacturer of both conventional and self-lubricating components used in molds and metal stamping dies. Its product line of precision components includes wear plates, wear strips, bushings, gibs, parting line locks, lifter slides and related items – more than 10,000 standard part numbers. In addition, the Company produces custom and semi-standard components so it can generally accommodate any size or special configuration a customer might have. SelfLube's full product line can be viewed online along with cad models of each part number.
