Steelwedge, the leader in cloud sales and operations planning (S&OP), today announced that it has appointed Peer Steffensen as its Executive Vice President, Global Field Operations, and John Rumasuglia as its Vice President, North American Sales. Both join Steelwedge from E2open.

In his role as Executive Vice President, Global Field Operations, Peer Steffensen drives all of Steelwedge’s sales and services activities around the world. With a 20-year track record of consistent success in the IT industry, he is responsible for ensuring quality and satisfaction for every Steelwedge customer.

Prior to joining Steelwedge, Steffensen spent nearly five years as senior sales executive at E2open where he was responsible for High Technology business in the United States, the company’s largest industry vertical. He also played an instrumental role in taking E2open from a small private company to its successful initial public offering in 2012. Steffensen, a native of Denmark, has also served in strategic sales and marketing roles with supply chain management technology providers including One Network Enterprises, i2 Technologies (now JDA), Informix, and IBM.

John Rumasuglia brings more than 20 years of supply chain experience to his role as Vice President of North American Sales for Steelwedge. In his prior position, Rumasuglia was a sales executive with E2open, where he was responsible for regional sales and greatly contributed to the company’s rapid growth. Previously, he was the CEO of Extended Lean Solutions, a firm that helped companies adopt demand-driven supply chains. Rumasuglia has also held executive sales roles at i2, MCA Solutions, and SmartOps.
