"It's creating a virtual marketplace and social forum that will allow members to expand their reach and generate new business."

MicroNet customers now have the ability to offer their members a web-based application that combines Groupon-like interaction with marketplace features at no cost to sellers.
The application is called Member Marketplace, which MicroNet purchased from Fabrik Interactive earlier this month.
As a leading provider of software and networking services for member-based organizations like associations and chambers of commerce, MicroNet expects Member Marketplace to complement its two primary online products: ChamberMaster and MemberZone. With Member Marketplace, association and chamber members will have the ability to request products and services from other members, post special offers and discounts to fellow members, and connect with the public by extending discounts to them and fielding inquiries about products and services.
“Chambers of commerce and associations are always looking for ways to provide enhanced value to their members,” MicroNet CEO Scott Juranek said. “Member Marketplace will provide new ways for them to interact with each other and, more importantly, with the public. It’s creating a virtual marketplace and social forum that will allow members to expand their reach and generate new business.”
“We are very pleased to become members of the MicroNet family and will continue to be a strong partner for our current clients,” said John D’Amelio, Fabrik Interactive’s managing partner. “For Member Marketplace customers, the benefit of the combined assets will mean greater investment, innovation and momentum in our technologies. Furthermore, MicroNet’s intensified commitment and focus on innovation, R&D and customer support will equate to higher levels of customer service and satisfaction.”
With headquarters in Nisswa, Minn., MicroNet Inc., develops membership management software like ChamberMaster and MemberZone for nearly 1,800 chambers of commerce and associations nationwide. Its products help organizations generate revenue and streamline operations with membership management tools for recruiting and retention. MicroNet employs 60 people.
