Hammond Trotter Solicitors are delighted to announce that Melanie Winstanley has joined their Manchester driving defences team. Hammond Trotter is a firm of solicitors with offices in Manchester and London, they are specialists in the field of driving offences and do not practice any other kind of law. This equates to Hammond Trotter being a rarity and a leading practice in their field. They have been expanding rapidly and are always seeking out the highest calibre staff to join them in their endeavours.

Melanie achieved her LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to qualify as a solicitor in 2006. Manchester born and bred, Melanie worked previously at Stephenson’s Solicitors in Manchester where she specialised in Magistrates court advocacy, working across the board in criminal law and litigation. She is a qualified Duty Solicitor, meaning that she is a qualified criminal defence solicitor who is completely independent of the Police and the courts and is qualified to represent people who do not have a specific solicitor of their own.

Melanie is also Police station accredited and so is qualified to attend a Police station to assist people who again, would otherwise have no legal representation. Her experience and qualifications are formidable. She has joined Hammond Trotter to work solely in their specific field of road traffic law, as leaders in their specialism Melanie has huge potential for success. She will be working on a full range of driving offences. As an aside, Melanie has a particular interest in defending people with mental health problems. She is due to become a formidable figure in her specialist field and Hammond Trotter look forward to welcoming her to the firm.
