Sometimes we take things for granted, such as a having food on the table. It’s important to help out others by doing whatever it is that you can to make a difference.

Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) May 22, 2014

AdvantaIRA Trust encourages the community to participate in a food drive to benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. Canned food donations will be accepted during the entire month of May at the AdvantaIRA Trust office in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Advanta IRA likes to give back to the local community any way they can. The Harry Chapin Food Bank’s mission is to overcome hunger in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Henry counties by educating others while working with affiliated agencies to distribute food equally and without any discrimination. AdvantaIRA Trust, a self-directed IRA administrator located in Fort Myers, wants to help out with the fight against hunger by having a canned food drive.

Any type of canned or boxed food is accepted. Some of the most needed items are peanut butter, canned lunch meats, chili, macaroni and cheese, canned stews, soups, full meals in a can, tuna, and beans and rice. Every month the Harry Chapin Food Bank provides meals for more than 30,000 individuals. This food drive means someone in need will enjoy a meal that otherwise may not have been given to them. “Sometimes we take things for granted, such as a having food on the table. It’s important to help out others by doing whatever it is that you can to make a difference,” says Dave Owens, managing partner at AdvantaIRA Trust.

AdvantaIRA Trust is also holding an investor networking event on May 29 and is encouraging attendees to bring donations for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Any person that brings a donation for the food drive to the event will receive an extra drink coupon. All donations can be dropped off at AdvantaIRA Trust, 1520 Royal Palm Square Boulevard, Suite 320, Fort Myers.
