Thanks to ACE, we have been able to quickly identify new reports that we can put into production. It gives us an executive-level approach to prioritizing and targeting report development to address the greatest needs of our organization.

Health Care DataWorks (HCD), a leading provider of business intelligence solutions and health care analytics, today announced the availability of a new program designed to accelerate time-to-value of advanced analytics via end-user adoption, support and education. The ACE (Accelerator for Client Excellence) Program, available to all HCD clients either on site or remotely, trains users on the efficient use of the analytic tools and capabilities offered by HCD’s KnowledgeEdge™ solution.
KnowledgeEdge brings together existing silos of data and unifies them into a data model built specifically for health care systems. Through the use of accelerators such as pre-built dashboards, applications and reports, organizations can quickly empower their users with the data they need for critical decision making.
“The ACE program provides a high-level overview of KnowledgeEdge and the data sources integrated in the product, and trains users on the analytic tools and capabilities it offers,” said Jason Buskirk, CEO of HCD. “Staffed by expert business intelligence professionals with many years of hands-on experience in all areas of health care, the program can be expanded to further accelerate development and deployment of user-specific reports and dashboards, or to provide more extensive hands-on training.”
Through ACE, an organization can:
- Discover new analytical capabilities of their data through practical-use cases
- Identify areas of financial savings and opportunities
- Recognize opportunities for efficiency and performance improvement
- Determine data issues resolution and ensure that they are communicated and documented
- Learn how to prioritize new subject areas and set tangible milestones and goals
- Understand how to transition static legacy reports to drill-down-enabled KnowledgeEdge reports and dashboards
Health Care DataWorks client, El Camino Hospital, has already realized value from the program. “Thanks to ACE, we have been able to quickly identify new reports that we can put into production,” explained Michelle McGowen, El Camino Hospital’s Senior Director, Business Analytics. “It gives us an executive-level approach to prioritizing and targeting report development to address the greatest needs of our organization.”
“The ACE Program has increased my understanding of Business Intelligence software, and I’ve learned shortcuts that enable rapid collaboration with my teammates,” said Dr. Gabriela Ramirez, Director, Enterprise Analytics, Clinical Analysis and Outcomes at Orlando Health. “The training has helped us get quickly up to speed on the basics of KnowledgeEdge so that we can begin to develop usable reports. Having direct access to an HCD expert has been especially helpful for one-on-one support.”
An added bonus of the ACE program is that it provides a forum for HCD Clients to share new-use cases and learn from each other. “Through the sharing of information, our clients can leverage the experiences of other organizations,” Buskirk said. “As an outgrowth of ACE, we also plan to sponsor user group meetings so that our customers can share ideas, not only on the ACE program, but on topics such as data governance and customer-driven reports and dashboards.”
