Uniglobe Entertainment ready to launch “1 a Minute” Sequel Campaign

In order to address the crucial needs of cancer survivors across the world, Uniglobe Entertainment will launch “The Thrive Channel”, this October 2014 which is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Thrive Channel is the latest debut in Uniglobe’s campaign against cancer that started with “1 a Minute”, the largest release for a cancer documentary in cinema history, and currently out through Hulu and Warner Bros. The Thrive Channel will commence with three shows: Destination Survival, Ultimate Survivor and You Can Thrive at

Ultimate Survivor features twelve inspiring stories, from around the world, of patients given an advanced or terminal cancer diagnosis with few weeks to live but who are alive many years later. Each story is followed by a panel of experts that break down the survival and thriving after cancer, for that patient.

Destination Survival deals with common questions during a cancer journey such as “Why Me”, “To Chemo or Not To Chemo”, “How do I tell my kids about cancer” and addressed by celebrity cancer survivors from across the world such as Olivia Newton-John (Grease), Jaclyn Smith (Charlie’s Angels), Melissa Etheridge (An Inconvenient Truth), Diahann Carroll (Claudine), Lisa Ray (Water / Bollywood Hollywood), Namrata Singh Gujral (Americanizing Shelley / Kaante), Barbara Mori (La Mujer de Mi Hermano / Kites) and Mumtaz (Hare Rama Hare Krishna / Khilona). Also featured are brothers Billy Baldwin (Backdraft / Parenthood) and Danny Baldwin (VAMPIRE$), whose mother is a survivor, Priya Dutt, whose mother, the famous Bollywood star Nargis Dutt, died of cancer, Western Oncologists such as Dr. Dennis Slamon whose research led to the revolutionary drug Herceptin,top Eastern medicine practitioners such as Dr. Deepak Chopraas well as experts Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker (Founder: Susan G. Komen for the Cure) and more.

You Can Thrive deals with mind, body and spiritual healing after cancer and focuses on diverse issues of cancer survivors such as diet, exercise, environment, faith, prayer, supplements and more. This show will feature many experts such as Dr. Debu Tripathy from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, renowned naturopath Dr. Holly Lucille and Dr. Deanna Attai, President-Elect of the American Society of Surgeons, The show will be hosted by Indian-American actress, Namrata Singh Gujral, of Warner Bros ‘1 a Minute’, 'Americanizing Shelley' and Bollywood's 'Kaante' who recently underwenttreatments for Burkitt’s Lymphoma, the most aggressive cancer known to man, after having battled breast cancer in 2008.
