ProRehab is proud to celebrate their 15th anniversary this year. In June 1999, Pat Wempe, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, and Jody Kissel, OTR/L, CHT, set out to establish a physical and occupational therapy practice based on clinical excellence and great customer service. Today, ProRehab has become one of the leading authorities on Sports Medicine and physical rehabilitation with clinics in Evansville, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky.
Among ProRehab’s clients are more than 20 professional sports teams, the Navy Seals, and a number of top name Division I sports programs who turn to ProRehab for their expertise in Sports Medicine. Although the walls of the First Avenue clinic contain a number of autographed photos from professional athletes, ProRehab takes great pride in being a locally and independently owned group focused on keeping the patients in their community healthy and active.
“Being ingrained in our community is something that has always been of the utmost importance to the ProRehab team over the last 15 years, and most certainly will be in the future,” said Wempe. “Our patients show a great deal of support for ProRehab. We find it imperative to support the things that are important to them and keep the community thriving.”
ProRehab’s unyielding commitment to the community comes in the form of numerous sponsorships and work with local schools. Their athletic training services also keep elementary- to collegiate-level athletes on the field and not on the sidelines.
As ProRehab has grown over the last 15 years, Bob Tank, Dan and Andrea Bauman, and Larry Benz have joined the ownership team. The organization maintains a high level of efficiency and places major emphasis on training and development of new hires.
“ProRehab’s foundation is based on clinical excellence and great customer service. Our clients deserve the best care possible and we work hard to make that happen in every aspect of the business,” said Kissel. “We take great pride in the fact that our patients reach successful outcomes in about half the number of visits than the national average. As health care costs continue to increase, that definitely matters.”
ProRehab patients can expect to be seen within 24 hours of referral by an expert in injury prevention and treatment. Call 812.476.0409 for more information on ProRehab’s services, or to book an appointment with one of our expert therapists.
