Kevin Campbell, RA, CMAA, ASQ, has joined HNTB as project director of rail and associate vice president of HNTB Corporation. Campbell is based in Chicago and works on projects with the Chicago Transit Authority along with the firm’s other rail clients.
Before joining HNTB, Campbell served in a variety of roles at CTA including executive program coordinator, deputy program manager and director of quality and web-based project management. In his nearly 40-year career, Campbell has worked on an assortment of projects for CTA, the Metropolitan Pier & Exhibition Authority, City of St. Louis, City of Chicago, University of Chicago and Chicago State University.

He knows what problems our clients face and how to deliver the best possible solutions,” said Dave Crosson, PE, vice president and Chicago office leader. “We’re happy to add professionals like Kevin to our team and continue to offer a high level of service to our clients.”
Outside of the office, Campbell plays an active role in the community. He serves as an alumni officer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is chairman-emeritus of Black Alumni of MIT. Campbell also is on the board of directors for the Chicago chapter of the Science and Math Excellence Network. In addition to his leadership roles, Campbell volunteers with the National Organization of Minority Architects, Evanston Community Development Association and Reba Place Early Childhood Development Center.
Campbell earned his bachelor’s degree in architectural technology and Master of Science in management from MIT.
