Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) June 12, 2014
Camp and summer are fairly synonymous with one another. Hoop Group's Kevin Boyle Point Guard Camp will be taking place again this summer in the Pocono Mountains of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The camp will be held during the weekends of June 21-22 and July 11-13.
The Pocono facility has 13 outdoor courts, 37 cabins with 8-20 bunks in each and a dining hall for all meals. The camp, which welcomes campers ages 9 and up, has a staff-to-camper ratio of 1:7.
Coach Boyle will lead a camp that includes some of the same drills that helped point guard Kyrie Irving develop into the 2011 NBA Rookie of the Year. With the help of several other highly experienced high school and college coaches, this camp will include early-bird workouts and workouts during free time as well as insightful and educational lectures.
"It has been a pleasure to work with Kevin for the past two decades. His accomplishments and record at St. Patrick's and Montverde Academy are remarkable.” says Rob Kennedy, President of Hoop Group. He adds: “But winning state championships, national championships and coach of the year awards are just part of the story. To me, the most impressive thing about Kevin is his incredible passion for teaching. His ability to develop young players, not just the Kyrie Irvings and Al Harringtons, but players of all ages and abilities, has been nothing short of exceptional."
At the end of the weekend, campers will receive a complete evaluation of their performance during the week as well as tailored drills and suggestions to help them improve.
