Winners were selected from short essays submitted based on the question, “How would Instant Immersion VT benefit (your school’s name) students?” Grand Prize awards can provide up to $15,168-worth of language learning tools.

The Miller School of Albemarle, Charlottesville, Virginia is the 1st Runner-up in the Secondary Division. Due to lack of receiving qualified entries from K-12 schools the 2nd Runner-up prize in the Secondary Division, and also the Elementary Division 1st and 2rd Runners-up prizes will not be awarded this year.
“We’re a bit disappointed that more schools didn’t qualify and that three prizes were not awarded,” said Gibb.
Grand Prize includes Instant Immersion VT e-learning courses for 250 students. Schools can choose one language per student from English, Spanish, Chinese, French and over 120 additional languages. If available in the same language the award also includes matching MP3 audio courses and digital workbooks. 1st Runner-up schools receive the same courseware for 120 students and 2nd Runner-up for 60 students.
