New York, NY (PRWEB) June 13, 2014
Interior design authority Viyet, the design enthusiast's destination to buy and sell timeless furniture and accessories, introduced a full redesign of Viyet.com on June 11, further strengthening its position as the leading online source for high-end, pre-owned designer home furnishings.
Spearheaded by Chief Technology Officer Sameer Khanna, the full redesign gives Viyet’s community of designer insiders a cleaner, more intuitive shopping experience, allowing users to shop by style aesthetic, designer, price, color, materials, and type of furniture. Elizabeth Brown, Viyet CEO sums up the new direction. “The redesign reflects our belief that a beautiful site paired with unparalleled shopping ease is the ultimate platform for Viyet to speak to our devoted design community.”
For the interior designer community that relies on Viyet as a solution for selling client pieces as well as sourcing exceptional finds for current projects, the website will introduce many new features. Among these will be the ability for design partners to showcase images from their portfolio directly on Viyet’s homepage, curate Designer Showrooms, virtual showrooms with Viyet product chosen to reflect their own unique aesthetic, and participate in opportunities to further communicate their design philosophy to Viyet’s sophisticated audience through the company’s blog and social media properties.
Foley & Cox, a top NYC based interior design firm will be featured at launch. Their Designer Showroom includes a Designlush outdoor table, a Holly Hunt lamp, an Ankasa pillow and a pair of Ralph Lauren ottomans. As the designers explain, “Viyet is the perfect source to satisfy the need for both immediate gratification and great value.”
Barbara Barry, Designlush, Jenny Wolf Interiors (just named “Top New Traditionalist” in Trad Home), Michael Tavano, Samuel Amoia Associates and Wietzman Halpern have also lent their talents to the Designer Showroom pages. Viyet is proud to offer many well-respected brands including Christian Liaigre, Knoll, Ligne Roset, Baker and Saarinen and Eames.
Viyet’s sophisticated new look features improved navigation, better quality photography, and more robust product descriptions, allowing shoppers to gather a true sense of the product without the need to view in person. Furthermore, the site is fully responsive, providing the same seamless experience for desktops, tablets, and other mobile devices, a key feature for Viyet’s active base of design professionals.
To coincide with the launch of the redesign, Viyet also enjoys new headquarters, recently featured on LONNY Magazine.
