London, UK (PRWEB UK) 14 July 2014
Motherpipe Ltd. today announced that it has launched privacy search extensions for the popular Chrome browser in the US, the UK, India, Germany and Sweden. The extensions provide Chrome users with an alternative to Google when they want to conduct searches that they do not want to be tracked.
The extension adds an extension bar shortcut to the Motherpipe search box. Users can keep Google as their default search engine.
“Google is the most popular search engine in the world. But there are times when people want to keep what they are searching for to themselves. Google tracks and shares your entire search history with their advertising partners. Motherpipe offers users a choice when they are searching for things that they simply don’t want Google to share with anyone,” said Motherpipe CEO Fred Cornell.
Users were fast to comment on the new service. D. Smith said “light and fast privacy guarantor. Recommended.” Gab B. from London commented that Motherpipe, “keeps my searches working for me, and not for advertisers sneaking a peek over my shoulder. Recommended!” while Gavin Knight wrote “If you value your privacy then Motherpipe is exactly what you need.”
The new extensions are free to download and can be found in the Chrome Web Store at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search-extensions/motherpipe.
Motherpipe is a search engine that does not track you and does not store or share your personal details with anyone. It operates across the US, the UK, India, Switzerland, Germany and Sweden.
