Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency Partners with CAP60 to Pilot Its Data Management System in North Carolina

Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency recently selected CAP60 for its data management system. SRCAA will be the first agency in North Carolina working with CAP60.

Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency (SRCAA) is set to become the pilot agency for the CAP60 data management system in North Carolina. CAP60 offers an integrated system that will link families to all SRCAA programs and services. In addition, the system will help assess eligibility for services provided by partner agencies as well. Family Development Specialists will have an opportunity to conduct a centralized intake and improve follow up services.

"We wanted a web-based solution that was designed with community action in mind, supported all of our programs and could provide real time reporting to meet the needs of our state, federal and private funders. In addition the program offers volunteer management and a fundraising module. CAP60 was the clear choice to meet the agency's needs," said Stan Wilson, Executive Director at SRCAA.

Many community action agencies use multiple systems in delivering services to its clients. SRCAA hopes that by becoming the pilot agency for CAP60 it can assist other agencies in North Carolina and state government in moving to a one-stop, integrated system that will provide better customer service, improve efficiency, and give a clear picture of the statewide impact of community action. The use of technology to improve customer service and efficiency are important to state government as well. North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory in a recent press release regarding the new website, NC GEAR was quoted as saying, "We want to draw on the expertise and experience of state employees and citizens to make state government even better and more customer-friendly."

"CAP60 Centralized Client Management & Tracking System is designed to maximize process efficiency and increase agency productivity while it helps clients to get the most out of services provided by community action programs. We believe this pilot project with Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency will advance the agency's ability to maximize its efficiency by utilizing state-of-art technology. We share the vision of Mr. Stan Wilson, Executive Director at SRCAA on utilization of technology to improve the case management process and increase productivity. CAP60 is currently operating in over 32 States nationwide and will bring that expertise to the agency," said Hamid Kohan, President of CAP60.

SRCAA plans to begin system development this summer and train staff to go live in the fall of 2014.
