It is about the joy of doing things for others like giving them an opportunity of participating in a sport they enjoy.

Asheboro, NC (PRWEB) June 26, 2014

Attorney Scott N. Dunn is combining his passion for water sports with his passion for helping people and participating in the next Wake the World event scheduled on June 16-17. Wake the World is a non-profit charitable organization that provides water sports opportunities to local children’s homes.

Whether it’s wake boarding, wake surfing, knee boarding, water skiing, tubing, swimming, or just hanging out in a boat, Wake the World is providing for kids that normally would not have the opportunity. Their events are possible, because of their big-hearted supporters, like Dunn. Currently, 100% of all funds donated are used for expenses directly related to the events. There is no paid staff, only volunteers.

Dunn enjoys taking part in water sports, and this non-profit organization is giving him the opportunity to share that passion with abandoned, abused, and neglected children. Because Dunn is a huge advocate of taking care of children, he is using his passion for water sports to help enrich the lives of underprivileged children.

“It is about the joy of doing things for others like giving them an opportunity of participating in a sport they enjoy,” said Dunn.

Dunn believes in fairness, which he practices as a child custody lawyer in Asheboro, North Carolina. Volunteering in Wake the World is a great fit for him to support children and a fine non-profit organization, all while having fun.

Wake the World began in 2008 and is now one of the largest volunteer organizations of its kind with over 300 volunteered boats worldwide. Anyone can volunteer a boat for the cause, but the boat must be a ski boat or a modern jet boat. Every boat driver must provide a NASBLA-approved boater’s safety certificate. Wake the World also has several volunteers onshore to help with the meals at the events. For more information, visit http://waketheworldnc.com/.
