Our success depends on our attention to the needs of the individuals we serve, and truly helping those most in need. By giving back to the community, we can feel the pain of the less-fortunate individuals struggling to get their lives back on track.

Philanthropy from the Heart is working to end poverty and homelessness by providing essentials to the Miami’s displaced and underprivileged men, women, and children. Established in May 2013 as a Florida-based nonprofit organization, Philanthropy from the Heart Inc. has been working tirelessly to deliver necessary provisions to a large number of homeless individuals in the Miami area, and continues to educate and assist those looking to get back on their feet. The ultimate mission of the program is to promote stewardship and to help struggling individuals develop skills that will help them succeed personally, socially, occupationally, and financially.
A dedication to service, along with the gracious donations of sponsors, is what allows Philanthropy from the Heart to continue to encourage and assist those in need year round. Founder, President and CEO of Philanthropy from the Heart, Jhasmidah Alexandre, had this to say regarding the organization, “Our success depends on our attention to the needs of the individuals we serve, and truly helping those most in need. By giving back to the community, we can feel the pain of the less-fortunate individuals struggling to get their lives back on track.”
In the last decade, there has been a sharp increase in the number of families and individuals who live at or below the poverty line. To effectively change this trend, Philanthropy from the Heart not only provides necessary meals and clothing to those in need, but offers council and one-on-one mentoring to ensure each individual has the professional decorum to obtain employment and give back to society in their own way.
On September 27, 2014, Philanthropy from the Heart is inviting everyone to attend their special fundraising event at Oak Grove Park in Miami. With the help of awesome volunteers and dedicated team members, Philanthropy from the Heart will be hosting a free day of fun with food and entertainment for people of all ages. All of the proceeds from food and merchandise sales go directly back to helping those in need, and will be used to buy additional food and clothing for the homeless. Those looking to perform a special skill or talent at this event are encouraged to contact the great team at Philanthropy from the Heart to discuss how they want to volunteer their time. All singers, bands, and performers are welcome to apply and should send their requests to Philanthropyfromtheheartinc(at)gmail(dot)com.
The event will take place at Oak Grove Park on September 27, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oak Grove Park is located at 960 NE 159th Street, Miami, FL, 33162.
