E-commerce is booming, with sales expected to reach $482.6 billion in North America in 2014 (1). But with the growth of e-commerce has come a direct parallel of fraud-related chargebacks – total global payment card fraud losses were $11.3 billion in 2012, and fraud-related chargebacks accounted for nearly half of that amount (2).
