MRSI Systems, a leading manufacturer of semiconductor and optical assembly systems, is now offering its well-established M3 work cell with 1 micron placement accuracy. The leading assembly platform can now be configured with a unique near-field camera, optics and a novel lighting system that enables an improvement in accuracy from its current 3-micron capability to a 1-micron level.
MRSI’s work cells are unique in their flexibility when it comes to assembly. Various in-situ processes are supported such as eutectic die attach, small-dot dispensing, UV curing, fluxless reflow and thermocompression. “Since 1984, MRSI has always been a leader in high-accuracy assembly and in-situ processing, enabling our customers to attack the most complex and quality-stringent applications. Our ability to now process at 1-micron accuracy is a normal evolutionary step for us,” stated Dan Crowley, MRSI’s Vice-President of Global Sales. “Our ability to now assemble and process parts with 1-micron accuracy enables our customers to address tough challenges in 2.5D, 3D and silicon photonics assembly.
