Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 08, 2014
Hangover Heaven's Las Vegas location added an emergency medical services (EMS) department July 1, 2014. The EMS permit was issued to Dr. Jason Burke's Hangover Heaven by the Southern Nevada Health District.
In November 2013, Hangover Heaven purchased an emergency vehicle (EV) to serve as a transport and treatment unit. To maximize its utility, the EV was eventually equipped with materials needed for it to operate within a licensed EMS department. Dr. Burke embarked upon the certification process and eight months later secured an EMS permit from the Southern Nevada Health District.
"Clients and staff love the EV. It's fun to both drive and ride in. However, I always knew the EV could do much more if we had an EMS division at Hangover Heaven. It's great that we finally have the permit," stated Dr. Burke.
In addition to staples, such as flashing lights and sirens, the EV also has television monitors and an interior sound system. Minus the stretcher, the EV can seat and treat 4-5 people simultaneously.
As is the case with emergency medical services in general, Hangover Heaven EMS exists to Preserve Life, Prevent Further Injury and Promote Recovery. Hangover Heaven EMS will offer medical assistance in a variety of ways, including serving as on-site medical staff for special events.
According to Director of Operations Dr. Cohen, "We love what we do at Hangover Heaven. Adding an EMS department allows us to offer another layer of specialized medical care to our patients."
Hangover Heaven's EMS division is staffed by certified and licensed medical personnel, including physicians, registered nurses, EMTs and paramedics. The Hangover Heaven EMS office is located at 3281 S Highland Drive, STE 807, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
