Point Alliance and Agility Inc. are both celebrating their 12th anniversaries this year, and they’re celebrating by working together to give back to the community. The companies will be awarding a Canadian non-profit organization with a free website and hosting package, a prize valued at 20,000.
This is the second year in a row that the two companies have worked in partnership to provide a not-for-profit organization with an improved online presence to better promote their cause – at no cost to them. Last year, AIS Toronto – a non-profit that works to provide supportive housing and unique programming for those facing homelessness and mental health challenges – won the contest.
“We were thrilled to be selected as the contest recipient. As a non-profit agency that lacked the technical and financial resources to renew our website, the generosity of Point Alliance and Agility Inc. was very meaningful to us,” Marissa Bastidas, AIS Toronto’s executive director, said. “AIS’s goal was to develop a website that supported our key messages about the need and value of supportive housing. We believe that this was achieved.”
Their new site has allowed them to develop a consistent message across all forms of online media, and AIS Toronto can now more effectively engage current and future donors.
“We know that potential donors will visit our website before they consider making a gift to AIS. We believe the site is welcoming, tells compelling stories, and has intuitive navigation,” Bastidas said. “This will certainly assist AIS with our fundraising campaigns. We have received many positive compliments about our new website.”
Community outreach is an important initiative for both Point Alliance and Agility Inc. Aside from the drive they share to give back, the two companies have a long-standing partnership in providing best-of-breed digital solutions for companies like Hockey Canada and Groupe Media TFO.
“Working with one of our partners to help a Canadian non-profit improve their online presence is a perfect way to combine what we do as a business with our outreach initiatives," Jon Voigt, Agility's CEO, said. "Websites are extremely important to promoting any non-profit's cause, and we are more than happy to help the winner of this contest get their message out there.
John Zarei, Point Alliance’s CEO, agrees. "We feel that by providing organizations with the right web tools, we are allowing them to expand their organization’s potential in such a way that may never have been possible before – that is the true value we are providing," Zarei said.
Applications are now being accepted at pointalliance.com/contest. All registered Canadian non-profit organizations are invited to enter the content for a chance to win. The deadline to apply is October 15, 2014. The winner will be announced in November.
