Victim service providers need actionable, research-based intelligence to maximize the impact and efficiency of their programming.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 29, 2014
Social Solutions Global, Inc. and the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) will be co-hosting the upcoming webinar, “Program Evaluation & Improvement for Victims Services,” this Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 3 pm EDT. The webinar will include experts from NCVC and Social Solutions who will share insights on where program evaluation is headed for providers of victim services, specifically in terms of using technology to connect research, evaluation, reporting and services delivery, and how agencies can become more data-driven in the process. The webinar will also feature the real life experience of West Contra Costa Family Justice Center, a victim serving agency working to measure their program activities and impact.
The webinar follows efforts from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) to help the sector move toward performance driven practice, including the 2013 Bridging the Gap grants and more recently, funding following the Vision 21: Building State Technology Capacity report.
“Victim service providers need actionable, research-based intelligence to maximize the impact and efficiency of their programming. This webinar will help service providers understand how to effectively gather and utilize this intelligence, and optimize their agency for increasing performance-focused funding opportunities,” said Nicole Geller, Director of Justice Initiatives at Social Solutions. “We are proud to be partnering with the National Center for Victims of Crime in providing this webinar and to showcase their insight and expertise for the benefit of service providers across the country.”
“As funding for victim services is increasingly tied to service provider performance, those providers must begin to take steps to incorporate data and inform their daily, on-the-ground work, both to ensure the continued funding of their services and to improve outcomes for the people they serve. We look forward to presenting with Social Solutions on this critical topic,” said Mai Fernandez, Executive Director of the National Center for Victims of Crime.
The webinar will include an opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions of the presenters. Registration for the webinar can be accessed here.
