Bike and Roll has partnered with the Smithsonian Institution to provide the only Segway® Personal Transporter tours to depart directly from the National Mall. Departing daily at 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 6:00pm, visitors have a chance to take a guided Segway ride beside history, learning about Smithsonian’s famed museums and America’s monuments on the National Mall.
Prepared in consultation with Smithsonian experts, this premiere Bike and Roll tour will highlight the architecture, art, culture, and history of Washington, DC’s National Mall and Memorial Parks with a specific focus on Smithsonian’s famed museums. Participants 16 and over will receive safety training and orientation, followed by a guided tour covering over 1,000 acres of the National Mall. As an official Segway Experience Center, Smithsonian National Mall Tours provides guests with the utmost level of expertise when it comes to the operation of Personal Transporters. On their tour, guests will hear the many stories behind DC’s most famous landmarks and national treasures, all while gliding through the capital on their own Personal Transporters.
Smithsonian National Mall Tours may expand to include guided bicycle tours at some point in the future.

Smithsonian National Mall Tours is operated by Bike and Roll DC. Located at the Mall entrance of the National Museum of American History on Madison Drive, tours depart daily, and tour tickets are $74 a person.
