Kurt Goddard, a 30-year industry veteran, has joined HNTB Corporation, a leading infrastructure solutions firm, as Southeast Division sales officer and vice president. He is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
In his new role at HNTB, Goddard will be responsible for sales, marketing and project development initiatives for transportation infrastructure in the Southeast United States. In the region, HNTB has locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia, employing approximately 600 professionals in 20 offices serving numerous departments of transportation and a variety of other transportation agencies.
“With an extensive industrywide network, Kurt will play an integral role in identifying strategic business opportunities and assisting clients with creating alternative delivery solutions, including public-private partnerships,” said Mike Inabinet, PE, HNTB Southeast Division president. “He has amassed expertise in telecommunications, aviation, automated highway systems and intelligent transportation systems that will well serve our clients’ tremendous needs for advanced mobility solutions.”
Goddard brings valuable experience from prior time spent with the Central Intelligence Agency, other large engineering corporations and service to the U.S. Marine Corps. He has led pursuit teams selected for design and construction management projects with values exceeding $1 billion.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Goddard is active in industry associations, holding professional memberships and serving on the board of directors of the Construction Management Association of America Foundation, as vice chair of the New York Transit Museum, a graduate of the Partnership for New York City David Rockefeller Fellows Program, and as a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. He also previously served on the board of directors for CMAA.
