Janet Treer, President of The Treer Group, was elected to the United Way of Lancaster County Board of Directors for a three-year term as a Member at Large. As a Board Member, she will play an important role in creating policies, guiding the organization and supporting the mission of the United Way.
“I am excited to be joining the Board of Directors of the Lancaster County United Way and to work with its exceptional Board Members, Staff and Volunteers,” says Treer. “This is an organization I deeply believe in and support.”
United Way of Lancaster County advances the common good and creates opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on the key building blocks to a good life: Education, Financial Stability and Health. United Way brings together people, organizations and resources to make lasting change in the community.
For over ten years, Janet has volunteered with the United Way of Lancaster County in a variety of roles, including serving on the Education Resource Investment Team and the Education Solution Council.
“By concentrating on its three focus areas, Education, Financial Stability and Health, the United Way is able to bring together people, organizations and resources to make significant impact and lasting change in our community,” says Treer. “I am very pleased to be a part of this important effort.”
In addition to her ongoing role with the United Way, Janet also has significant volunteer involvement with Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
