Lajollacooks4u’s upgraded kitchen and new state of the art appliances have raised the already high quality of the hands-on cooking and dining experience offered by Lajollacooks4u.
Over the past seven years, the home kitchen of Chef Jodi Abel has served as the private venue for Lajollacooks4u’s cooking classes and team building events. Welcoming groups of two to thirty-five individuals into her kitchen with each cooking class, Chef Jodi realized that her home appliances and design were wearing out from the heavy commercial use, and needed to be upgraded and renovated to meet the growing demand.
The first upscale feature to be added to Lajollacooks4u’s newly revamped kitchen was the Wolf 48” Sealed Burner Rangetop with griddle. The large size of Lajollacooks4u’s first Wolf appliance is perfectly suited for the larger groups and corporate teams that have been frequenting Lajollacooks4u’s kitchen, since the design provides enough space for guests to cook along side one another with enough “elbow room”. Guests can now experience more of the gourmet cooking process during their private, hands-on class.

As for the new design, Lajollacooks4u replaced the existing hanging light fixtures for with new modern style, upgraded the sink fixtures, and added a new eco-efficient filtered water system. For a slight change in decoration, a new tile mosaic was added to the wall behind the sink. These smaller changes have significantly improved the appearance of Lajollacooks4u’s main, indoor kitchen by creating a more modern, fresh appearance.
With a newly revamped kitchen, Chef Jodi said, “At Lajollacooks4u, the kitchen is more than a room where people cook together. It’s a space where families reunite; newlyweds escape on their honeymoon; teams collaborate and communicate. My kitchen is the heart of my classes. It is important that I can offer the highest quality experience to my guests with the state of my kitchen, so that they can have the highest quality experience with each other.”
