Osu Children's Home Donation

Their mission is to provide children in the home with approriate care through laid down regulations and procedures to afford them hope for a better future.

(PRWEB) August 04, 2014

The Osu Children’s Home is located in the heart of Ghana’s capital, Accra. It was established to cater for orphans and other socially-challenged children and has a current population of one hundred and sixty (160 children). Their mission is to provide children in the home with approriate care through laid down regulations and procedures to afford them hope for a better future. Inadequate funding is a constant challenge that the home battles with as well as the need for the expansion of some of the facilities. Meanwhile personnel of the home, despite the challenges, continue to do thier best in providing the needed care throughout the various developmental stages of the children's life in a friendly environment.

The Edusei Foundation thus enquired from the Home to identify the specific and urgent needs to inform a timeous, meaningful and relevant donation.

The Edusei Foundation, after hearing the needs of the Osu Children's Home, decided to donate the following items to the home:

-Rice (50kg)
-Oil (25 litres)
-Milk (Ideal brand)
-Milk (carnation brand)
-Baby food
-Cerelac (maize and wheat)
-Silk/bell (soap)
-Obaapa (tinned mackerel)
-Lactogen
-Sugar
-Indomie (macaroni)
-Diapers

The mission of the Edusei Foundation is to facilitate youth development in the United States, Ghana, and the Diaspora in a positive manner to improve their knowledge, behavior, and health. Moreover, we collaborate with other non-governmental organizations to empower women and children.

The next Dr. Kwame Bawuah-Edusei and Edusei Foundation-sponsored youth workshop will be announced on the Edusei Foundation Facebook page when dates are set.
