Sutter Care at Home launches a series of eight patient stories. Patients and health care professionals provide firsthand accounts of home health care.
Beginning today, on 8/8, Sutter Care at Home, one of the largest not-for-profit home health care and hospice agencies in Northern California, is releasing eight patient stories over the next eight business days.
These patient stories are a collection of first-person video narratives from patients, physicians and clinicians, which demonstrate the importance of home health care and hospice. These videos also illustrate Sutter Health’s dedication to treating patients’ throughout every phase of life.
These patient stories showcase how Sutter Care at Home provides excellent care across specialties, facilities and providers, and leverages state-of-the-art technology to help patients become active partners in managing their health. To someone with a chronic condition, it means all of your clinicians are communicating as a team in real time. To a busy family member, it means accessing lab results and prescribed medications online.
The first patient story to debut features a World War II veteran, Nicholas Soloski, who was at Pearl Harbor in 1941, the day the bombs were dropped in Hawaii. Nicholas joined the Navy in 1939 and in 1942 he was transferred to Treasure Island where he met his wife and began his life. When Nicholas turned 100, he was diagnosed with terminal kidney failure and became a Sutter Care at Home hospice patient where he continues to enjoy his quality of life.
