Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) August 13, 2014
Robin Gant, Zach Mayer, and Kevin Riley of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC, prevailed in an arbitration proceeding for the Family Dollar Stores of Texas, LLC. in a non-subscriber case. The case involved allegations by an employee who claimed to have sustained an injury caused by working conditions within the store.
The claimant sought damages for past and future medical expenses, disfigurement, past and future loss of wages, past and future pain and suffering, and also sought punitive damages.
Medical expert Dr. Ronald Devere testified on behalf of Family Dollar that none of the claimant’s injuries or diagnoses were related or caused by the duties of the job or conditions in the store.
"We are pleased with the outcome of this case," said Zach Mayer, a director in the Dallas office of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC and head of the nonsubscriber practice group. "Family Dollar has an excellent reputation as an employer and we were confident the evidence would prove that fact. Robin Gant and Kevin Riley worked hard to defend our client and demonstrate that the company had not contributed to the claimant's injuries in any way."
