Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 12, 2014

Atlantic Information Services, Inc. (AIS), the publisher of industry-leading newsletter Medicare Advantage News and the annual AIS’s Medicare and Medicaid Market Data factbook, is pleased to announce the full agenda for its upcoming virtual conference, “Dual-Eligibles Programs: Initial Results, Successes and Remaining Challenges.” In one information-packed afternoon, conference attendees will get the details of early results and lessons learned from CMS-backed and state duals demos, presented by 11 of the nation’s top duals experts from the private and public sectors.

The virtual conference’s four sessions are:

  • 11:00 – 12:30: “Lessons Learned: An Overview of What Has Worked (and What Hasn’t) From Initial CMS and State Duals Programs” — Experts from both the Medicare and Medicaid sides of the industry will give a fast-paced status report on what has already taken place on implementation of the duals initiatives, how well the programs have fared, and what has worked best and worst.
  • 12:45 – 1:45: “Case Study: Implementation of the California Duals Initiative” — Two veterans of the California demo — the head of the firm serving as the state’s duals consultant and a top executive of a large health plan participating in multiple counties — will analyze the specifics of California’s CMS-backed program.
  • 2:15 – 3:15: “Initial Behavioral Health and Pharmacy Experiences in Duals Initiatives” — Two industry experts will discuss what the initial evidence suggests on how the often-abundant behavioral-health needs of beneficiaries are dealt with, and how effectively their pharmacy benefits are handled.
  • 3:30 – 5:00: “What’s Next for Duals Initiatives?” — An all-star panel of consultants and plan executives will discuss the future of duals initiatives.

Additionally, each session will conclude with generous time allocated to answering individual questions.

AIS’s virtual conference allows participants to attend a live conference without having to travel to a meeting site. Plus, the registration fee includes a free On-Demand recording of each session, so any agenda items can be reviewed at a later time.
