Within a few years we will live in a world where traditional passwords will be a thing of the past, together with pagers and floppy disks. Biometrics will provide ease and security in high-value transactions and everyday life.

New York (PRWEB) August 12, 2014

Speech Technology magazine has named SpeechPro a Star Performer as part of its eighth annual Speech Industry Awards, which recognize the most influential speech technology innovators each year. SpeechPro, a leading global biometric software provider, will accept the Star Performer award during the SpeechTek 2014 conference August 18-20 in New York City.

SpeechPro joins several other 2014 Star Performers, including major companies like Google, Amazon and Microsoft, in being recognized as the some of industry's top movers and shakers over the past year. The Speech Industry Awards also reveal some of the hottest industry developments, the most notable of which are in various speech-enabled mobile applications like voice biometrics. SpeechPro is featured alongside its fellow Star Performers in the fall issue of Speech Technology magazine.

“SpeechPro is thrilled to be recognized by this prestigious award,” said Alexey Khitrov, president of SpeechPro. “We believe that this Star Performer Award reflects our continuous efforts to improve core algorithms and further expand capabilities of voice biometrics."

SpeechPro has significantly expanded its product line recently, specifically in bimodal (voice and face) authentication and on mobile platforms. This progress has translated into new customers and the expansion of partnership programs, including bringing on new partners like ImageWare Systems and Optimal Risk. SpeechPro’s participation in the recent NIST i-Vector Machine Learning Challenge also validated its strong capabilities in voice biometric research, development and technological innovation.

“Within a few years we will live in a world where traditional passwords will be a thing of the past, together with pagers and floppy disks,” Khitrov said. “Biometrics will provide ease and security in high-value transactions and everyday life. We hope to be an important part of this global transition.”

In addition to attending the SpeechTek conference in New York City this month, SpeechPro will be exhibiting its latest developments at the Global Identity Summit September 16-18 in Tampa, Florida.
