WorldRemit, the online money transfer provider, today announced the launch of its first services in Jordan and the Gulf States of Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
Customers are now able to send a mobile airtime recharge to friends and family in more than 70 countries around the world using their computer, smartphone or tablet.
Airtime recharge sent through WorldRemit is delivered instantly and is free of transfer fees - senders only pay the face value of the airtime.

Of the world’s 6.9 billion mobile connections, 77% are pre-paid. The number is expected to remain stable over coming years, with an estimated 76% of people using pre-paid connections by 2017, according to GSMA Intelligence.
Africa and Asia currently have the highest proportion of pre-pay at 96% and 82% respectively.
