The “Nice To Meet You!” mobile app was officially released recently for both iOS and Android. One unique aspect of this app is it allows users the option to connect to one another - when face to face - without the need to exchange contact information. By eliminating the need to give out phone numbers or email addresses, “Nice To Meet You!” has created a more private way to connect and communicate.
Within its beta testing period, “Nice To Meet You!” has managed to receive encouraging feedback from users. John Nguyen, one of the earliest users of the app, expressed his satisfaction saying, “Great idea! Neat app and useful for people who aren't willing to give out phone numbers, but want to chat.”
“Nice To Meet You!” utilizes GPS technology to determine if the users are next to one another. By tapping the app logo on the main screen, the app will connect these two users. Once connected, the user can see the other person’s first name, picture, when they met, and where they met. The app also allows instant messaging between the connected users. Most importantly, all of this happens without the need to disclose any contact info.
This useful mobile app was developed by experienced software developer Phillip Duong. During a recent interview, Phillip said that he wanted to develop a mobile app to make “social connecting” more private than ever before. “I wanted to create an app that allows two people to connect and communicate without the need to give out personal contact information right away. We meet new people each and every day, but people don’t feel comfortable giving out their phone number to someone they just met. I believe I’ve created a unique mobile app that bridges this step in social interaction,” he stated.
“Nice To Meet You!” is currently available on iOS or Android. To download the app free of charge, please visit iTunes or Google Play.
