Our association with ATA will make us better and provide our customers peace of mind knowing that they’ve partnered with a provider dedicated to helping them tell their story anywhere in the world.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (PRWEB) August 26, 2014

GM Voices, the world’s largest producer of professionally-recorded voice prompts for technology applications, and a growing business solutions provider of translation and localization services, today announced its membership to the American Translators Association (ATA), a professional association founded to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of individual translators and interpreters. GM Voices will leverage its membership to provide development opportunities to local support and management teams and better network with a global community of certified translators.

Founded in 1985, GM Voices first started delivering translation services to its automated phone system customers in the early 1990s, mostly recording scripts for North American Spanish and French Canadian audiences. As North America-based technology providers expanded around the world through global contact centers, GM Voices grew its voice-over and translation offerings to include over 100 languages, from Afrikaans to Zulu. The past several years have been dedicated to expanding outside of audio applications into print, digital and multimedia business applications.

GM Voices prefers to use ATA-certified translators when possible, and ATA membership will provide enhanced visibility to 11,000 professionals spanning 90 countries. ATA translators are thoroughly vetted by voting association members and are required to complete continuing education to maintain certification.

“ATA membership is a valuable resource for our in-house experts and global translator network as we double-down on our expansive localization expertise,” said Marcus Graham, Founder and CEO of GM Voices. “At the end of the day, our association with ATA will make us better and provide our customers peace of mind knowing that they’ve partnered with a provider dedicated to helping them tell their story anywhere in the world.”

GM Voices packages voice and translation work into a wide variety of business media, including print and digital advertising materials; voice narration, dubbing and subtitling for videos; Web sites and software; and voice prompts for IVR/phone technologies, GPS/telematics, and mobile apps.
