The center is a project of two passionate owners, Daniel Gagnon and Suzie Girard, who during the last 40 years, invested all their energies and efforts on a beef farm. 11 years ago, they decided to add to their project a wildlife observation center. On May 1st of 2009, a wildlife and interpretation of agriculture center known as “Le zoo de Falardeau” opened in St-David de Falardeau, in Quebec.

In the center, they help animals overcome distress periods until they can be released safely into the wild. The owners have also acquired various wild species, mammals, birds and reptiles that people can observe in their natural habitat.

This year, Daniel purchased a 50'x95'x21' steel building from Allied Steel Buildings, which will be used as a house for the giraffes during the winter time. The building will be delivered in September, and the construction is expected to be finished before the end of the year.

“Daniel is passionate and he loves what he does. It was very easy for us to help him with his project because he knows exactly what he wants and needs,” said, Randy Levy, the Project Manager in charge of the project. Randy specializes in the Quebec area having helped dozens of customers during the last year.
