Greenberg Traurig EB-5 attorneys, including shareholder Kate Kalmykov and associates Dillon Colucci, Matthew Galati, Jennifer Hermansky and Cory Richards, contributed chapters in the third edition of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Immigration Options for Investors and Entrepreneurs book.
According to the publisher, the book elucidates legal considerations for attorneys representing investors and entrepreneurs in the EB-5 industry and provides guidance for those representing small business owners as part of the USCIS Entrepreneur in Residence Initiative. The publication’s wide-ranging content also serves as comprehensive primer and resource for attorneys and professionals joining the EB5 industry.

Kalmykov focuses her practice on the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program, with a decade of experience in the industry. She regularly works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments. She has written for and been quoted in numerous publications on EB-5 matters and is the editor of the firm’s EB-5 Insights blog (http://www.eb5insights.com), which addresses the broad range of challenges and opportunities presented by the EB-5 Program, including the immigration, tax and securities compliance issues integral to creating and maintaining successful Regional Centers and projects.
Colucci focuses his practice on immigration concerns and helps individuals, families, professionals, skilled workers, investors, and businesses live, work, invest and do business in the United States. Dillon works extensively on EB-5 immigrant investor matters and regularly works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments.
Galati focuses his practice on investor, business and family-based immigration matters, particularly EB-5 matters. He works with businesses and individuals in various industries, including pharmaceutical, health care, scientific communities and university systems. Matthew is experienced in obtaining employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, including H-1B, L-1, E and O-1 classifications as well as the preparation of Form I-829 and I-526 petitions.
Hermansky has a wide range of experience with the EB-5 Program. She has prepared and filed many I-526 petitions and I-829 petitions for immigrant investors, both through individual investments and regional center investments. She regularly works with developers across a variety of industries seeking capital for new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments. She has also been a contributing author on numerous articles and books covering EB-5 topics.
Richards focuses his practice on EB-5 investor-based immigration. He helps facilitate the EB-5 process for his clients by working with them to file their I-526s, I-829s and corresponding applications for permanent residency and works with developers across a variety of industries and is experienced dealing with a wide-range of EB-5 matters, including: developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments; the creation of new Regional Centers; and having projects adopted by existing Regional Centers or through pooled individual EB-5 petitions.
