COLUMBUS, Ohio (PRWEB) August 29, 2014
Senior Independence has promoted Mica Rees to vice president of operations & business development.
Rees has been with Senior Independence since March 2013 as the vice president of business development.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS), Senior Independence provides older adults with options, including personalized home health care (e.g., physical therapy), hospice care teams, in-home care (e.g., meal preparation) and therapeutic adult day centers.
Rees will continue to move forward with operational and business growth initiatives, including Senior Independence’s recently introduced centralized call center for all statewide home health and hospice referrals.
"Rees has been instrumental in moving this initiative forward and will continue to fine tune this area of operation," said OPRS President/CEO Laurence C. Gumina.
Prior to joining OPRS, Rees held the title of regional manager of business development at Heartland Home Health Care, a division of HCR ManorCare, in Toledo, Ohio. In 2009, Kindred Healthcare hired her as district director of sales and development. She spent the seven years prior in a sales management position with Extendicare Health Services in Columbus, Ohio.
She earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from Ohio University in 1997. Rees lives in Pomeroy, Ohio, with her husband, David, and her son Garrett.
Rees regularly travels to Senior Independence's seven regional Ohio offices, but her home office is in Columbus, at OPRS' corporate headquarters. Contact her at 800-686-7800 or mrees(at)seniorindependence(dot)org.
