FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) August 31, 2014
IHOP Fort Lauderdale is taking on a new identity in the night and day prayer movement. The ministry is changing its name to Awakening House of Prayer.
Founded in May 2012 by Jennifer LeClaire, IHOP Fort Lauderdale is still committed to prayer fasting and the Great Commission. The name change better reflects the overall mandate of the ministry and the Every Nation Prayer Room.
“After plenty of prayer, we’ve decided to call the ministry Awakening House of Prayer,” says Jennifer LeClaire, director of the prayer ministry and news editor at Charisma magazine. “We’re no longer contending for revival only. We’re praying for a Great Awakening. Our new name better communicates our heart while helping us avoid confusion with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.”
Awakening House of Prayer is a community of believers committed first to pursuing intimacy with God. In partnership with OneHope and Praise FM, we have established a night and day house of prayer called Every Nation Prayer Room in the Fort Lauderdale MSA. The Every Nation Prayer Room is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Our heart is to equip a generation of believers who will contend for a Great Awakening and justice in the Fort Lauderdale area,” LeClaire says. “Our spiritual climate is hard, but we are believing in the power of God to break in and open the eyes of the hearts of believers and non-believers who will surrender to Jesus.”
About Awakening House of Prayer
Awakening House of Prayer is community of believers committed first to pursuing intimacy with God. In partnership with OneHope and Praise FM, we have established a night and day house of prayer in the Fort Lauderdale MSA called Every Nation Prayer Room. At Awakening House of Prayer, we are committed to prayer, fasting, and the Great Commission. As forerunners, we have keen understanding of the end-times and an eternal mindset—and both fuel our urgency to reach the lost even as we cry out for revival in South Florida and a Great Awakening in our nation. And as a missions base, our goal is to equip believers for the work of the ministry in this eleventh hour.
